BBMS Happy Children Memorial Fund hosted Hopeful Family Reflections at Casa Guiterrez in Leona Valley, CA on October 1, 2023. A raffle was also held 10 lucky people were the recipients of the raffle prizes. Congratulations to all of those who bought the winning raffle tickets, and a huge thanks to those who donated prizes to the cause:

Casa Gutierrez donated two gift certificates for a meal for two – These were won by Cheri Thompson & Cindy Lindaman. The “Never Too Much Makeup basket” donated by Shanna Venezuela, was won by Mayra. The “Date Night” basket, donated by Cindy Lindaman, was won by Cathy Chapman. The Cheesecake Gift Certificate was won by Janice Eernissee. The Pampered Pooch Basket was donated by Robin Smith, and won by Glen & Rosie McConnell. The Mountain Top Gift certificate, donated by Tanya Duron, was won by Blanca. “A Place To Shoot” gift certificates were won by Patrick Baxton, Krista, and a non-local who was lucky enough to be at the restaurant at the right time.

All Good Chocolate Deserves a Home

Let’s take a moment to reflect on a silent hero, and the sweetest treat of all, in our goal to raise money and awareness for this charity – CHOCOLATE! Thank you for helping us sell 52 boxes! Whether it’s Halloween chocolate, Stocking fillers, or your favorite midnight snack, all good chocolate deserves a special place in our hearts (and tummies)! If you missed out, you can get your fill from Mountain Top Salon, or Cherish Bolton, who at the time of writing this, still had some morsels of chocolateness available.

Through our dedicated fundraising activities, we have been able to gather resources to bless these families with essential items and heartfelt gifts. It’s our way of spreading hope, love, and support to those who need it the most.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We met people who were willing to volunteer their time to our cause as well as people who worked in the mental health and addiction field who asked us to contact them when we began the search for families who needed our assistance around the holiday seasons. It is rewarding when someone thanks us or tells us how much our cause means to them, They have a family member in recovery and share their journey with us. It is gratifying to know what we do matters to many.

We are so very grateful to Luis Guiterrez for donating 10% of the day’s proceeds to help families in recovery from addiction and victims of domestic violence.
