The BBMS Happy Children Memorial Fund Charity Poker Run

Join us for the BBMS Happy Children Memorial Fund Poker Run on October 11, 2025. All proceeds will support families recovering from addiction and survivors of domestic violence. Nearly everyone knows someone affected by these challenges. Thus, making this cause deeply personal. Therefore, your participation helps provide hope and healing. As well as, providing resources to those rebuilding their lives.

Founded in Memory of Children Lost

BBMS was founded in memory of children lost to addiction and mental illness. Especially families destroyed as a result by the ripple effects of addiction and violence. BBMS Happy Children Memorial Fund was founded on a heartfelt mission to transform grief into action. Consequently, it was established by Laurie Millard, mother of the late Brianna Brandy Millard Smith.   She died alone on March 30, 2014, along Highway 138, near Llano, CA, as a result of a semi-truck driver veering onto the shoulder of the road, striking Brianna and killing her instantly.

BBMS Continues to Grow

Due to this wonderful community’s love, support, and compassion, our 501(c) (3) charity continues to grow. BBMS Happy Children Memorial Fund has become a beacon of hope and support. By the same token,  providing aid to local families in recovery from addiction and survivors of domestic violence. Every dollar raised at this Poker Run, featuring a scenic ride, raffle, and 50/50, will be donated to the charity. The winner of the Poker Run will receive a five-day, four-night stay in Cancun.
